The Soldiers Project offers free, confidential counseling to post 9/11 veterans and to their family members for as long as they need it. Counselors are professional, licensed therapists who are volunteering their time. The Soldiers Project is not affiliated with the Veterans Administration.
Mindful Warrior Project offers free mindfulness practice groups for veterans and those who love them. There is a monthly practice group in Pasadena, CA, and there are others within the Los Angeles area. Mindful Warrior Project also hosts special events and wellness days for military members, and their families. Mindful Warrior Project is not affiliated with the Veterans Administration.
Wellness Works, Glendale offers a variety of health and wellness therapies for veterans including acupuncture, a writing group, and much more. They host the annual Not On Our Watch awareness event for military suicides in Pasadena, CA. Wellness Works, Glendale is not affiliated with the Veterans Administration.
Operation Family Caregiver offers free, confidential, and individual coaching for family members caring for military members or veterans who have a health challenge connected with military service. This includes developing an individualized plan for how to thrive with the family challenges at hand. Coaches are licensed therapists. Family members of veterans from all service eras are accepted, and intake is simple.
