NAMI Walks SGV
NAMI San Gabriel Valley’s programs and services are mostly dependent on the money we raise through the annual walk, which accounts for nearly 80% of our annual budget. In 2016, the bar was set very high by our NAMI SGV fundraisers, exceeding the $40,000 fundraising mark for the first time ever! We smashed that record last year and raised $56,000, coming third out of all the affiliates in the LA county. We are so incredibly grateful to those who generously donated and for all our volunteers who worked so hard to raise funds in previous years.
Join the thousands of concerned citizens in over 85 communities across the nation walk together to raise money and awareness to ensure vital, free NAMI programs and services are available to provide help and hope to those in need. Every journey begins with that first step. Through NAMIWalks’ public, active display of support for people affected by mental illness, we are changing our American communities and ensuring that help and hope are available for those in need.
NAMIWalks 2018 was a complete success! Here are some highlights from the day.
Our NAMI SGV Education Team won best T-shirt design! The prize was a donation to the team’s fundraising money. So far, our education team has raised $34, 591, there is still time to donate, go to the Walking Heads Donation page
